Casey, Deb, Matt and Nick Johnson |
Deb and Casey Johnson moved to Fort Dodge in 1996 when they purchased the existing Ford Dealership. After seven years, they decided to purchase a Toyota franchise and move both businesses to a new location, where they continue to operate today. Their two sons, Matt and Nick, also work with them. The Johnsons recently purchased Ford dealerships in Ames and Nevada, Iowa. The Johnsons’ standards for excellence in quality work and customer service at the dealerships inspires loyalty from both their customers and their employees.
The Johnsons are integrally involved in philanthropy in the Fort Dodge area. They have chaired and participated in fundraising events for the United Way of Greater Fort Dodge, Character Counts, American Heart Association, the Humane Society, Hospice, Fort Dodge Public Schools, Girl Scouts, D/SAOC (Domestic Sexual Abuse Outreach Center), Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance, PICA (Pride in Community Appearance), Friendship Haven, Trinity Regional Medical Center, Iowa Central Community College, and serving Thanksgiving dinners to the needy from their dealership, to name just a few. Deb and Casey also host many events in the dealership’s beautiful showroom, as well in their personal residence.
Many are inspired by the Johnson’s commitment to charitable giving, whether it is financial or donating their personal time, and living by the parable of the faithful servant: "For everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required." -- Luke 12:48.
Deb and Casey Johnson established a donor-advised fund with the Fort Dodge Community Foundation in order to facilitate their charitable giving. A donor-advised fund allows the donors to decide exactly what causes they wish to support at any given time. By utilizing the Fort Dodge Community Foundation’s financial expertise, all investments, tax-record keeping and reporting is processed by the Community Foundation.
The Johnsons understand the importance of investing in the community in which they live, both by their business investments as well as their charitable giving that addresses many needs in the community.
