Donors can make their donation checks payable to the Fort Dodge Community Foundation and put the name of the fund in the Memo on the check.  Donors can also donate online by clicking on the Donate button on our website. All donations are considered charitable and are tax deductible.

Bridging the Gap (United Way program) - These funds support the distribution of gently used furniture, beds and household items to families in need.

FD Mountain Bike Assoc - These funds support enhancements to the Fort Dodge mountain bike trail.

Historic Preservation - These funds promote the educational, cultural, economic and general welfare of the public through the recognition, enhancement and perpetuation of sites and districts of historical and cultural significance in Fort Dodge and Webster County.

Home Base Iowa - These funds are used to provide veterans with resources that can open doors to job opportunities in Fort Dodge and Webster County

Homeless Fund - These funds provide financial assistance to families with children that are homeless or facing eviction and will become homeless.

Hope for Healing (KLK) Fund (United Way Program) - This fund was inspired by the life of Kristin Kuhlman and provides needed financial support to low-income families with children who need financial assistance for transportation and other costs associated with children who are seriously ill. 

Humanitarian Fund (United Way Program) - These funds help provide financial assistance for low-income families experiencing a major crisis and need emergency assistance for shelter, food, clothing, medical care, etc.

Joy of Reading - This fund was established memory of Emily Joy Averill who was tragically killed in a car accident. Emily loved kids and was planning to become an elementary school teacher. These funds help promote early reading and literacy among youth and families in the community.

Lord’s Cupboard - These funds support the work of the Lord’s Cupboard Food Pantry in serving individuals and families in the Fort Dodge area in need of food.

Lost Grove Community Center Fund - This fund supports the restoration of the WWII era school building that is now a community center and recreational center for the town of Harcourt. 

Meals on Wheels (United Way program) - These funds support the delivery of daily nutritious meals frail elderly homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities in Fort Dodge. The hot meals are delivered daily by volunteers who also provide a safety check on all Meals on Wheels clients.  

Patterson Field - These funds are used to provide maintenance and updates to the Jerry Patterson Baseball Field that is used by the Fort Dodge Teener Baseball League.

Phillips Auditorium - These funds support the ongoing renovations and maintenance of the  historic Phillips Auditorium. This facility is managed by the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association and provides quality rehearsal and performance space for a wide range of entertainment events. 

PICA (Pride in Community Appearance) - These funds help support the wonderful work of PICA volunteers that do landscaping, beautification, and environmental clean-up projects throughout the Fort Dodge community. These projects help enhance the image of Fort Dodge and make it a special place to live. 

Pleasant Valley Awareness - These funds support projects that enhance and beautify the Pleasant Valley neighborhood. 

Prairie River Trail Ride - These funds support an annual 30-mile bike ride on the Prairie River Trail System in Fort Dodge and Webster County.  The proceeds from the ride support various charitable community projects.

Safe Communities Coalition - These funds support the work of the Fort Dodge/Webster County Safe Communities Coalition. This coalition works closely with local law enforcement and the community to reduce crime and improve public safety in Fort Dodge and Webster County. 

Safe Haven Baby Box - This fund supports the training and maintenance Fort Dodge’s Safe Haven Baby Box. The Safe Haven Baby Box is a state-of-the-art life-saving apparatus that takes the face-to-face interaction out of the new baby surrender process so parents who are unable to care for their newborn can anonymously and safely give up their newborn child.   

SALT Center (Shining a Light Together) - These funds support the operation and needs of the First Baptist Church heating/cooling center which operates as a resource for low-income vulnerable people in our community that need a safe place to stay warm in the winter or cool in the summer.

TOKA Fund - This fund helps to send Fort Dodge students to the TOKA International Camp in Gjakova, Kosovo (Fort Dodge’s sister city) and highlights learning cultures from around the world in a student exchange program

Veterans Bridge Project - These funds will support the completion of 4 phases of enhancements and stunning features to the Veterans Bridge as a tribute to all veterans from Fort Dodge and Webster County who honorably served their country.  

Webster County Historical Society - These funds are used to support the mission of the Webster County Historical Society which is to preserve, interpret, and promote the history and cultural heritage of Fort Dodge and Webster County for the benefit of current and future generations. 

Webster County Trail Fund - Fund to expand and maintain more than 30 miles of paved trails of the Prairie Rivers Trail System that runs throughout Fort Dodge and  Webster County.  The trail is used by biking, walking and running enthusiasts of all ages.

Wheels for Work (United Way program) - This fund supports the car donation program that provides reliable and safe transportation for low-income families that lack personal transportation.  The donated cars are given to qualified families and provides them with transportation to work, to grocery stores and doctor offices and to get their children to school.
