Meals on Wheels

Meals On Wheels is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) program that delivers a nutritious meal, friendly visit, and safety check to seniors 65 and older who are unable to leave their homes.

Volunteers in Fort Dodge delivered more than 10,000 meals in Fort Dodge each year. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday. Our Meals on Wheels program offers much more than comforting and nutritious food to those who need it. We also offer well-being checks to help make sure the people we serve are safe and healthy.

1. Our Meals on Wheels volunteers come from businesses, churches service groups and individuals who support the mission of the Meals on Wheels program.
2. Our volunteers deliver meals to your home Monday through Friday, between 10:45 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
3. Meals are prepared by our partner Hy-Vee and delivered fresh daily throughout Fort Dodge.
4. Our drivers and volunteers are trained to not only deliver meals and offer a friendly “hello” but also perform quick safety checks.
