Dorothy Rose Jensen (Bahls) graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1940. She was valedictorian of her class, but did not seek a college degree, in part, because of financial reasons. She worked as a legal secretary and a secretary in the Iowa Senate, so her three children could graduate from college. Her three children hope this scholarship will help a Fort Dodge Senior High School graduate have the opportunity to go to college that she did not have.
