Faiferlick Martial Arts is a mixed martial arts gym that offers a variety of classes to students in Fort Dodge, IA and the surrounding counties within an 80 mile radius. We are a highly respected and family friendly facility that teaches our students physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills. Owner Justin Faiferlick has over 35 years of martial arts instruction. He opened Faiferlick Martial Arts to better serve the community and provide one place that offers a variety of martial arts classes. After it opened its doors in 2014, Faiferlick Martial Arts received the Rookie of the Year Award from the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance. It has also received the “It Gets Better Dodge Youth Award.” We are proud to serve the community and give everyone a safe place to practice.

Family Foundations is a family support service available to all pregnant women and families with children up to age five in Calhoun, Pocahontas and Webster Counties. This is a free service provided by the Webster County Health Department. Nurses and family support workers can come to your home or an alternate location and provide information on pregnancy, new baby, toddler growth & development, family life skills and help you find available resources based on your family’s needs.

Pre-K through 12 public education. Student Services providers assist students to be healthy academically, socially, emotionally and assist students in their career planning. Student Services providers include Student Services Director, Counselors, Bridges Case Management, Mental Health Therapist on staff, At-Risk Counselors and Coordinators, Nurses, Alternative School Staff and Drop Out Prevention Coordinator.

Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association supports, promotes and connects visual, performing and literary artists, arts organizations and businesses.

The Fort Dodge Housing Agency is dedicated to providing and ensuring quality affordable housing by being an innovative leader in setting housing standards. We are committed to establishing creative partnerships and sound economic practices to benefit the entire community. Low-income rental assistance program, Section 8, HUD housing. We provide basic needs such as homeless shelter, housing, assistance in paying for private housing, and rental/utility deposit assistance. We also have a self-sufficiency program that supports individuals in becoming employed/educated and connects them to area/community resources. This helps clients in getting the help they need and ultimately using less public assistance in the end.

The Fort Dodge Human Rights Commission is a neutral fact-finding agency whose mission is to secure for all individuals within the City of Fort Dodge freedom from discrimination because of race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age or mental or physical disability in connection with employment, public accommodations, housing, and credit.

The Fort Dodge Noon Lions Club provides eye screenings for all children birth - five years through day cares, pre-schools and schools. They also provide eye glasses for children through grade 12 through referral from school nurse.

Under Chief Dennis Quinn, The Fort Dodge Police Department (FDPD) consists of 40 sworn officers actively working for the safety and security of its citizens. The FDPD's basic mission is the prevention of crime. The FDPD attempts this goal through prevention, deterrence, and apprehension of offenders with the gathering of evidence.

Foster Grandparents are men and women age 55 and older who serve as educational mentors for children age 3-10 in local schools, Head Start and other nonprofit locations. Those who meet income guidelines of less than $22,000 annually may qualify for a stipend of up to $3,000 per year. Training provided, free meals while working, assistance with travel costs to and from school each day. Paid vacations and holidays.
