I-Smile Dental Home Initiative

The I-Smile Dental Home Initiative connects Iowa families with preventive dental care and education for their children. As the I-Smile Coordinator for the Webster County Health Department, Cindy Partlow, offers dental screenings and preventive fluoride varnish to children and pregnant women enrolled in the WIC and MH programs, as well as pre-schools. She follows up with families after these screenings to be sure they are aware of immediate dental needs. She also assists with setting appointments and helping clients overcome language and transportation barriers.
