1st Five is a public-private partnership bridging primary care and public health services in Iowa. The 1st Five model supports health providers in the earlier detection of social-emotional and developmental delays and family risk-related factors in children birth to 5 and coordinates referrals, interventions and follow-up.

BRIDGES is a PreK-12 school-based youth service program for students who have significant absences or have multiple office/health referrals. Students serviced by BRIDGES experience serious emotional distress and struggle to make and maintain connections with the school. Academic achievement and social skills are negatively impacted. BRIDGES staff work with students/families to increase the connection students have with the school by providing the support necessary so students can attend school and remain in class, increasing instructional time.

BRIDGES is available to all students in the FDCSD. Parents are encouraged to become involved. The BRIDGES staff coordinates with parents, students, and the appropriate service provider to get the help needed where and when the student needs it - at school.

Located on the campus of Iowa Central Community College, this partnership of a public and a private institution serves the region by offering the first and second years at Iowa Central and the final two years at Buena Vista University. In addition to a large evening program in Fort Dodge, the location offers weekend and summer endorsements.

A team of Career Navigators is dedicated to helping students discover their own unique career pathway and connect¬ing students with the resources they need to achieve their career goals. Understanding that every person has a unique set of skills, experience, values, challenges, and goals, we help develop a career pathway that is customized for each student, which will include a combination of career exploration activities and career education training.

Career Navigators assist students with the following services: career and education guidance, training program placement, one-to-one advising, tuition assistance, transportation assistance, childcare assistance, soft skills development, job placement assistance, and much more.

Pre-K through 12 public education. Student Services providers assist students to be healthy academically, socially, emotionally and assist students in their career planning. Student Services providers include Student Services Director, Counselors, Bridges Case Management, Mental Health Therapist on staff, At-Risk Counselors and Coordinators, Nurses, Alternative School Staff and Drop Out Prevention Coordinator.

The Fort Dodge Human Rights Commission is a neutral fact-finding agency whose mission is to secure for all individuals within the City of Fort Dodge freedom from discrimination because of race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age or mental or physical disability in connection with employment, public accommodations, housing, and credit.

Foster Grandparents are men and women age 55 and older who serve as educational mentors for children age 3-10 in local schools, Head Start and other nonprofit locations. Those who meet income guidelines of less than $22,000 annually may qualify for a stipend of up to $3,000 per year. Training provided, free meals while working, assistance with travel costs to and from school each day. Paid vacations and holidays.

Gene Giraffe Project is a 501c3 charity devoted to raising awareness, and providing funds for rare and inherited diseased children and families. We devote our time to providing awareness for rare diseases and providing help for families who endure long hospital visits due to rare diseases.

Iowa Central Community College is a comprehensive community college located in Fort Dodge that offers college transfer courses; career and technical training; general education; recreation and personal enrichment programs; economic development, community service activities for people with diverse interests, needs backgrounds and skills; and adult basic education. Iowa Central also offers a cooperative program with Buena Vista University in Storm Lake whereby students can earn a bachelor's degree attending evening classes. St. Paul is a member church of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. As such we have a rich heritage of teachings passed down to us through the years. These teachings are summed up in the collection of documents known as the Book of Concord. St. Paul Lutheran Church & School has been educating families in the Fort Dodge area for over 150 years. Our school currently serves families with children 3 years old through 8th grade!

The agency provides home-based services for pregnant women, infants and toddlers and center-based preschool services for 3 and 4 year olds. Services address health, nutrition and language development; social-emotional, physical and cognitive development. Programs support school readiness and family well-being. In providing services, Y.O.U.R., Inc. relies on additional community resource agencies to assist families in moving toward self-sufficiency and to help children reach their full potential.
