Webster County 4-H has 14 clubs located around the county with numerous project areas. Learn more about topics ranging from aerospace, dogs, rabbits, photography, technology, horses, and clothing, to name a few. 4-H'ers can attend camps, go on trips and attend conferences on the Iowa State University campus.

BRIDGES is a PreK-12 school-based youth service program for students who have significant absences or have multiple office/health referrals. Students serviced by BRIDGES experience serious emotional distress and struggle to make and maintain connections with the school. Academic achievement and social skills are negatively impacted. BRIDGES staff work with students/families to increase the connection students have with the school by providing the support necessary so students can attend school and remain in class, increasing instructional time.
BRIDGES is available to all students in the FDCSD. Parents are encouraged to become involved. The BRIDGES staff coordinates with parents, students, and the appropriate service provider to get the help needed where and when the student needs it - at school.

We work with students in 7th-12th grade who need help and assistance planning for and preparing to attend college. 2/3rds of the students we serve are first-generation and economically eligible. We met with students at Fort Dodge Middle and High Schools once a month during the school year. Services include: study skills, career assessments, leadership, community service, career exploration, academic advising, life skills, preparation for ACT/SAT testing, college visits, college application process, financial aid, scholarships, etc. Our program is federally funded and there is no charge to the student, their family or the school for our services. A completed application is required to receive our services.
