Athletics for Education and Success (AFES)

Athletics for Education and Success (AFES) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that strives to help the youth and families of Fort Dodge and Webster County by providing hope and motivation for them. We aim to do this by any means necessary, giving the youth and parents the power to decide what they need, want and what may help them be successful. We offer our youth after-school programs, sports teams, mentoring groups, drum line groups, educational and cultural opportunities and much more. In addition to providing exceptional programming, we provide our youth with a sense of belonging and the determination to succeed.

Child Health Specialty Clinics

Child Health Specialty Clinics (CHSC) serves Iowa children and youth (from birth through 21 years of age) who have or are at risk of having a special health care need. These can include chronic conditions like asthma or diabetes, behavioral or developmental disorders like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or autism and more complex medical needs like spina bifida.

CHSC provides

  • Family to Family Support-individual problem solving and emotional support as you care for your child.
  • Care Coordination-help access the care your child needs.
  • Clinical Services-gap filling clinical services and access to pediatric specialty providers.
  • Systems Building-build partnerships and expand community based services and supports for families.

Community Early Childhood Center

Community Early Childhood Center is dedicated to offering services that build youth in the community. They offer childcare and early learning opportunities for infants through 12 years including after-school education, positive youth support, children’s homelessness and youth enrichment. Their after-school program provides children with a safe, consistent and positive learning environment where they encourage the development of new friendships, a sense of belonging, positive staff interactions and hands-on activities including arts and crafts, outdoor recreation and music as they discover more about the world around them.
